The Road To The Cage Continues!

Match 1: The Naturals vs. "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels & Low Ki
TNA got off to a spectacular start this Wednesday night with a semifinal match in the tag team title tournament. This match pitted The Naturals, Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens, against the recently reunited Christopher Daniels and Low Ki. Once known as Triple X, Daniels, Low Ki, and Elix Skipper ruled the tag team division and held the coveted NWA World Tag Team Championship on more than one occasion. Although Triple X is not back together, Daniels and Low Ki are back as a team and seem to have picked up where they left off.
Their opponents in the match, The Naturals, just came off a big win of their own this last Wednesday by beating 3 Live Kru to advance in the tournament. The momentum switched back and forth in this match-up, with neither team able to get an edge. The experience team of Daniels and Low Ki had their hands full with the up and coming stars, Douglas and Stevens. After trading near pin falls, Andy Douglas tried to end the match by reaching for his powder. The move backfired and cost The Naturals a shot at the titles. Low Ki and Daniels got the pin and advanced to the finals of the tournament with a chance to once again regain tag team gold.
Scott Hudson caught up to Kid Kash and his tag team partner Dallas in the back to ask them about their upcoming match with Slash and Sinn. Kash talked about Swinger making the right decision by not showing up last week to tag with him in the tournament. He was happy with Dallas as his partner. Unfortunately, Hudson couldn't get a word from the 6'9" Dallas, but Kash had enough words for the both of them.
Match 2: Kid Kash & Dallas vs. Slash & Sinn
Now that Daniels and Low Ki were going to the finals of the tag team tournament, it was time to find out who their opponents would be. Another recently reunited team, Slash and Sinn, squared off against Kid Kash and his family member, the 6'9" Dallas. Although you would think the advantage would go to the experienced Disciples of the New Church, Kash and Dallas worked very well as a team. Maybe it's in their blood.
Former tag team champion Slash hit his famous whirlybird to try and finish of their opponents, but Kid Kash resorted to his most famous attribute, cheating. After using a steel pipe to hit Slash, Dallas picked him up and almost slammed him through the ring with his devastating version of a power bomb. That was all she wrote for the New Church and Kash & Dallas got the 3 count to advance to the finals to take on Daniels and Low Ki for the World Tag Team Titles.
There was a clip shown of the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Jeff Jarrett, defending his title in AAA in Mexico City this last week. Jarrett got the victory over the Latin Lover that night, but had to be escorted by police out of the building. Jarrett might be the champ, but not the most popular man in Mexico right now. Jarrett then had some words for the 4 men who would be competing in the Final Four Way at the end of the night. He said they don't have what it takes to be a champion and no one lives, breaths, and eats professional wrestling like himself.
Mike Tenay was then set to interview America's Most Wanted in the middle of the ring. Wildcat Chris Harris and Tennessee Cowboy James Storm were making their way to the ring, when out of nowhere, Jarrett smashed a guitar over Storm's skull. Harris chased Jarrett down and gave him the Catatonic in the middle of the ring. Just as Harris was about to give Jarrett a taste of his own medicine and hit him with another guitar, Raven gave him an Evenflow DDT. Jarrett got up just in time to confront Raven and the two exchanged unpleasantries until Styles came leaping off the top rope, sending both of them to the mat. Raven and Styles battled on the outside, while Jarrett got back in the ring and smashed his other guitar over the head of Chris Harris.
Cameras then shifted to the back where Scott Hudson was standing by with Monty Brown. Brown stated that NWA TNA was his hunting ground and he was ready to pounce on all that stand in his way.
Match 3: Sabu vs. "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown
After making his return to NWA TNA, "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown has been dominating his opponents in the ring. Just last week, he took out the head of the Blackshirt security, Don Harris. The Ex-New England Patriot would have his hands full this week when he met up with the Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal, Sabu. Monty took most of the offensive early in the match, dominating at every corner.
It was power versus violence in this encounter. As always, when Sabu is involved, so are tables and chairs. Towards the end of the match, Sabu leaped off a chair, over the ropes and onto Monty Brown, who was lying on a wooden table. This wasn't enough to finish off Brown though, and the brawl went through the crowd and up into the balcony. After beating each other senseless on the outside, the referee decided to disqualify both men and rule the match a no-contest. Security had to restrain both combatants at the end in order to keep them from tearing each other apart. This one is far from over.
Hudson was backstage with Glen Gilberti and David Young. Scott pointed out that Young was sort of on a slump as of late, going 0-17. Gilberti was shocked by this statistic and told Young that tonight was his last chance.
The attention then shifted to the New Franchise, where it looked as if all was well with the group. Douglas stated that The New Franchise sets the precedent, and that they don't follow it. He said they have ironed out their differences and are focused on getting the win in their match.
