Chris Benoit broke the record of longest running participant in a single Royal Rumble match. Last night, Benoit lasted 61 minutes and 34 seconds, according to random internet media.
The original record was held by Bob Backlund, who lasted reportedly 61 minutes and ten seconds, not to be confused by longest running participant who WON the event, which was, prior to last night's performance by Benoit, Ric Flair with 59 minutes and 26 seconds in 1992.
This, along with other things (such as Benoit's constant elimination of all the larger guys) should be pushed on television to help get Benoit over for his ride to the WrestleMania main-event at Madison Square Garden.

After the PPV last night, Steve Austin came out to congratulate Chris Benoit and the fans gave Benoit a standing ovation. They need to show that on "Smackdown" this week.
*John Cena was okay after that spot where he was eliminated last night. It looked as if he blew out his knee but he is okay.

Matt Morgan was reportedly carried out on a stretcher from the his match at the SmackDown! house show in Reading. Most were under the impression that it was a legitimate injury, but we're awaiting further confirmation.
There were mixed reactions backstage to Chris Benoit's appearance on RAW. While everyone was happy that his appearance sparked a "Benoit" chant while he was in the ring, most do not feel the segment was booked properly and that Benoit's pop could've been a lot larger. Rather than bring him in solely as a face to take down HHH, he was brought in as more of a "problem" for HBK, as Benoit was the reason fan favorite HBK wasn't getting his title shot. Booking a face who's less over in that situation is not smart, which is why that although there were some Benoit chants, the pop was certainly far from defeaning. Nonetheless, since Benoit did draw a positive reaction, WWE is feeling confident in their decision to push him.
