The Rock was in the headlines recently after he cut a check of $10,000 to help his native land of Samoa. After cyclone Heta blasted the region earlier this month, officials said that the people who live there needed help, especially food. A container truck pulled up to the Times Supermarket in Kailua Monday to load up 30,000 pounds of food bound for Samoa. Workers loaded pallets of rice, spam, corned beef and cooking oil and that was all thanks to The Rock's money. Rock's grandmother lives in the area and she told her grandson of the problem the people were facing.
