K-1 ran their World GP 2004 show at Saitama Super Arena in Omiya on March 27th, claiming 14,918 paid. Results:
1. Cyril Abidi defeated Hiraku Hori in the 3rd round in 2 minutes, 58 seconds by KO from a left hook.
2. Sergei Gur defeated Jerrel Venetian by a 2-0 judges' decision.
3. Jan "The Giant" Nortje defeated Mike Bernardo in the 1st round in 2 minutes, 32 seconds by KO from left and right hooks. The three-knockdown rule was in effect. Bernardo came into the fight from a new gym in South Africa, not Steve's Gym (Nortje represented Steve's Gym in the fight).
4. Aziz Khatou defeated Frans Botha by a 2-0 judges' decision.
5. Shannon Briggs defeated Tom Erikson in the 1st round in 1 minute, 2 seconds by KO from a right hook to the temple.
6. Bob Sapp defeated Seth Petruzelli in 57 seconds of the 1st round by KO. Petruzelli caught Sapp with a good left hook but injured his right arm and it went downhill from there.
7. Alexey Ignashov defeated Carter Williams in the 2nd round in 2 minutes, 42 seconds by KO from a straight left punch.
8. Ernesto Hoost defeated Xhavit Bajrami (Switzerland) after a 3-0 judges' decision.
9. Musashi defeated Akebono after 3 rounds by a 3-0 judges' decision
