We start off with some sad news, Ray Fernandez who WWF fans will remember as "Hercules" in the mid 80's and early 90's was found dead in a hotel room on Saturday morning in Tampa at the age of 46. Fernandez had stints in Florida, Texas and Mid South in the 70's and 80's before joining the WWF.
Fernandez came to the WWF in 1985, his first major match was a loss to Ricky Steamboat at "WrestleMania 2", during this time he was a heel managed by Bobby Heenan. Two of Fernandez's big moments would come on "Saturday Night's Main Event", the first being on 11/29 of 1986 when Hulk Hogan defeated him to keep the WWF Title in Los Angeles and that show drew a 9.7, the other was on 3/14 1987 when Hercules won a Battle Royal and that show drew an 11.6. Fernandez would leave Heenan and turn face in 1988 to set up a match with King Haku at "WrestleMania V" in Atlantic City with Heenan managing Haku. Fernandez would go on to form a team with Paul Roma in the early 90's as "Power and Glory" before Fernandez left the company in 1992 with his final appearance on PPV being the 1992 "Royal Rumble" that Ric Flair won.
He went over to WCW as Super Invader after he left WWF but that stint did not last too long. His final major run was in Japan with Scott Norton as the Jurassic Powers in New Japan. The team feuded with Kensuke Sasaki and Road Warrrior Hawk over the IWGP Tag Titles.
